Interview

Condition: Charge Syndrome

1. What is your profession and why did you decide to choose this field?
So I originally worked in International Development after I finished my masters but after some soul searching decided to work in fitness as it’s always been my passion so now I teach yoga and Pilates! I just love helping people, I do it in a very different way to how I used to but it’s incredibly rewarding being a part of someone’s fitness journey, people have so many reasons and so many stories to share. I’ve loved fitness since I discovered cheerleading and now I’ve turned my passion into a profession.

2. What is the most rewarding thing about what you do?
Seeing people become happy with their progress whether that be mentally or physically. I've used fitness for both my mental and physical health and it's made me a much better person so I love seeing others experience that as well.

3. What is your advice to all the other VIP around the world who don’t believe they can be successful in the area of their interest because of their disability?
There is no such thing as impossible. When I was born they never expected me to walk or talk and here I am breaking down every barrier in my way. If I can do it so can you.
